June 2020 – Unicorr Packaging Group held its first Uni-CARES food drive of 2020 on June 27th. For this drive, Unicorr partnered with TEEG, a non-profit human service organization that provides assistance and support to families in the communities of Northeast Connecticut. Unicorr and TEEG volunteers set up a food and donation drop-off site at Unicorr’s Thompson Facility, following all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Unicorr pledged to match $1 for every pound of food or cash donation collected.
The weather did not slow us down! On a hot, muggy Saturday with rain in the forecast, our spirited group of volunteers collected over 2,200 pounds of food for TEEG’s food security program. Unicorr Packaging Group matched the donations and rounded up its donation to TEEG to $2,500.
